Downspout Lines

Downspout lines are normally underground lines that convey the water from the gutter system on your home away from your home to either the storm water system or an area that will naturally drain away from your home. Unfortunately, sometimes leaves, roof grit, sticks and even critters can clog these lines and cause the water to be unable to drain. Roto-Rooter normally utilizes a high pressure water jett to thoroughly clean and open these types of lines without damage to the downspout line itself. We have the know-how and the equipment to handle even the most stubborn downspout line!

Floor Drains

Basement drains, utility room drains, condensate drains, water heater pop-off drains; these are just a few of the different types of floor drains that are in found in many homes. Over time, usually due to very minimal use, these drains can rust and corrode and experience stoppages. Other times, these drains are the first indicators of a main service line experiencing a backup. Regardless of which type of backup you are experiencing, Roto-Rooter technicians are trained to know exactly what to do to open your clogged line.

Garage Drains

Garage drains usually come in two distinct types. The common floor drain and the grate style drain. These drains are used to carry away the water that would be brought into your garage via our vehicles when wet or snowy. Unfortunately our cars also bring in sand, dirt, grit and other particles that ends up going down the drain too and sometimes causes clogs. Also with grate style drains; sticks, leaves, and debris can accumulate and cause blockages that need cleared. Our drain cleaning equipment and our Roto-Rooter technicians have experience to handle any drain stoppage your garage drain would experience. We can make your garage drain troubles go “down the drain!”

Kitchen Sink Lines

Food particles , grease, fats, and oils from soap and dishwater build up over time. They slowly cause drains to run slower and slower until they eventually stop completely. Roto-Rooter has the equipment and experience to tackle the hardest blockage and get your sink draining again.

Laundry and Washer

No other drain can cause more property damage in such a short time as a clogged clothes washer drain. Clothes washer/laundry drains usually become clogged due to fats, greases, and oils in the laundry soaps building up on the walls of the pipe over time. Adding to this problem is the dissolved clothing fibers (lint) that becomes stuck in those fats, greases, and oils and you have a potential for a blockage. Our technicians are experienced in clearing even the most stubborn laundry drain clog. We can clean the line and have the equipment to inspect it if a defect in the pipe is suspected. We can make all your troubles go “down the drain!”

Main Service Lines

Sometimes everything in the home will not drain. This is a sure sign that your main service line (sometimes called a lateral) is not draining. Roots are the number one culprit for clogged main sewer lines and no-one is able to cut out and remove those roots better than Roto-Rooter! Our founder invented the first electric sewer cleaning machine in 1935 and since then we’ve been opening main service drains ever since. Besides roots, bellies (sagging pipes), offsets in the line (a joint that just doesn’t line up anymore) and broken sewer lines due to settling or tree roots are just some of the other reasons a main service line can become clogged. Roto-Rooter has the experience and the equipment to handle even the toughest clog! We can clean the line using standard cable machine method or utilize our new high-pressure water jett to cut through the blockage. We can even inspect the pipe with a sewer camera afterward to verify any issues that might exist with the line. No one company has cleaned more lines or has a name more synonymous with main service line cleaning than Roto-Rooter!

Not many clogs are more troublesome or embarrassing to a homeowner than a clogged stool. It happens to everyone soon or later. It is amazing what we humans and sometimes even pets can accidentally put down the drain. Common household items such as toothbrushes, combs, pens, feminine products, and even toys are the most frequent offenders. A Roto-Rooter technician is trained to handle even the most stubborn toilet blockage. Usually a hand-auger is all that is needed to remove the blockage but sometimes the toilet has to be removed to retrieve what is stuck in the area of the toilet called the trap. Roto-Rooter technicians have the know-how to handle any toilet trouble you may have.

Tub / Shower

Everyone hates taking a shower with water pooling around your feet! Or pulling plug on a tub full of water and not hearing it drain out. Usually a clog in a tub or shower drain is caused by hair combining with fats, grease, and oils from soaps and shampoos. This residue coats the insides of the pipes causing buildup. Then hair becomes stuck in the buildup and pretty soon the drain starts slowing down. A Roto-Rooter technician is trained to handle slow stopped tub/shower drains. We can clean the line, remove the clog, and inspect the pipes if necessary.
